Argentina is the second largest country in South America and eighth in the world by land area and is one of the G-20 economies. Argentina has abundant natural resources, a well-educated population, an export-oriented agricultural sector and a relatively diversified industrial base. Argentina is facing slowing economic growth due to the existing financial crisis and has spearheaded 32 billion dollars worth of public works projects to help revitalizes its ailing economy.

Over the past few years demand has outpaced supply in Buenos Aires, the main commercial market in Argentina. A number of international players such as investment funds and institutional investors have demonstrated an interest to invest in the Argentine real estate industry. Multinational demand continues to be concentrated in the Catalinas-Retiro and Puerto Madero areas. Given a lack of land for development in the Center, new ventures are migrating to other regions. The first area selected for new ventures has been the Northern part of Buenos Aires, followed by the area surrounding the Pan-American Highway and Avenida Del Libertador.
